Meet Indie, a Quiet Young Budgie Looking for Her Flock.
Indie is a little budgie who was found outside by a Good Samaritan and brought to safety. While her past is unknown, it is clear that Indie is still learning how to feel secure in a home environment.
Indie is not hand-tame and is very uncomfortable with hands in her cage. She does not step up and prefers to keep her distance, choosing instead to sit still and observe from her favorite perch. She spends much of her time quietly watching the household from her spot in the dining room, taking in the world at her own pace.
Although Indie does not vocalize much on her own, she will occasionally respond to birds outside, bird noises, or videos of other birds. At this time, she does not seek out window views or explore her space actively, and she appears lonely and unsure. Her foster family believes she would greatly benefit from living with other budgies who can help her feel more confident and show her how to be a budgie.
Indie is currently on a seed diet and has been resistant to pellets and fresh vegetables so far. She will need a patient adopter who understands that diet conversions can take time and who is willing to work gradually and gently with her.
Indie is looking for an experienced, calm home with other friendly budgies where she can learn by observation and feel the comfort of a flock. She may never be a hands-on bird, but with the right environment, companionship, and patience, Indie has the potential to blossom in her own quiet way.
If you are someone who values giving a shy bird the space and support they need, Indie may be the perfect addition to your flock.
Adoption Fee: $15
