My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi, I’m Super Star 🌟🤍
I’m a gray and white girl with a very calm, almost otherworldly kind of personality. I don’t do much in the traditional sense — I’m not one for zoomies, mischief, or constant activity — but what I do excel at is being peacefully present. I’m incredibly docile in a way that surprises people, content to simply exist near you and soak up quiet moments.

I’m a sweet soul who enjoys gentle affection and a calm environment. I won’t demand attention or steal the spotlight, but there’s something special about my soft presence that makes a room feel calmer just by being in it. I’m the kind of cat who’s happy to lounge, observe, and offer silent companionship in the most comforting way.

If you’re looking for a low-key, loving cat who brings tranquility rather than chaos, I might just be your perfect little Super Star. ✨An adoption application can be filled out on the DHS website https://www.dekalbhumanesociety.org/adopt. More about this shelter

At DeKalb Humane Society, we are passionate about finding forever homes for the pets in our care. Whether they are cats, dogs, or other furry friends, our mission is to provide them with a loving and nurturing environment.

We also believe in the importance of education about responsible pet ownership. We strive to educate our community about pet welfare, the benefits of spaying/neutering, and the prevention of animal abuse and neglect.

By adopting a pet from us, you are not only gaining a lifetime companion, but you are also contributing to our cause and helping us raise awareness. Together, we can make a difference in the lives of these innocent animals.

The DeKalb Humane Society filed for our Certificate of Incorporation on December 23, 1975 and we were granted 501(c)3 status in March of 1976. We are committed to being a no-kill shelter and serving the DeKalb County area.
