Meet Brooks!!
This handsome hunk came in as a stray on 12/4/25, and we think he’s about 2 years old. Brooks is absolutely gorgeous — and a big guy — but no one has told him that! He has no idea how large and strong he is, which becomes very clear when he decides your lap is exactly where he belongs.
Brooks hasn’t quite mastered personal space or polite manners yet, but he is smart and eager to learn. With guidance, structure, and someone willing to teach him, he’ll blossom into the well-mannered companion he’s meant to be.
Brooks is available for adoption, so hurry in to meet this lovable goofball!

All adoptions are $199.00. Adoptions include the following: Vaccines, microchip, Current dog license, spay/neuter, de-worming medication.

Our office is open Monday- Friday 8:30-4:30 and Saturdays from 10:00-2:00. Our kennels are closed on Mondays. The kennels are open Tuesday- Friday 11:00-4:15, Saturdays we open 10:00-1:45.

Did you know... The Richland County Dog Warden's Office & Adoption Center is self-funded and does not receive any tax paying dollars. Our revenue comes from dog license fees, adoptions, impound fees, and YOUR donations. You can send Donations by check or money order to the shelter: 810 N. Home Rd. Mansfield, Ohio 44906.
The shelter always accepts cash donations. However, there are always other things we need too. You can call it a wish list: Bleach, laundry detergent, Capstar flea tablets, Advantage flea drops, pet shampoo,Paper Towels, and sturdy collars and leashes for our dogs here at the facility and those going on transport to rescue.
