Meet Froda, a curious and friendly soul looking for her forever family. She was rescued from the streets of Puerto Rico by our team, so she had a rough start to life -- but you would never know that due to her warm heart and gentle, loving disposition.
Froda flies from our Sanctuary to New Jersey on December 28th. Could you be the one to pick her up at the airport that day and show her all the love she deserves?

About The Sato Project:
The Sato Project has been working hard since 2011 to rescue and rehabilitate the stray dogs of Puerto Rico, known locally as “satos.” To date, we’ve saved over 8,000 dogs and are committed to stopping the overpopulation crisis with spay/neuter and vaccination programs. Your adoption helps us continue this vital work. You can read more about our work at thesatoproject.org or follow us on social media @thesatoproject.

More about this rescue
The Sato Project is dedicated to rescuing abused and abandoned dogs from Puerto Rico. There are currently an estimated 500,000 stray dogs roaming the island’s streets and beaches. With no access to food, fresh water, or veterinary care, many of these dogs are living daily lives of severe suffering. The municipal shelter system is drastically overwhelmed, with only five shelters across all 78 of the island’s municipalities. These shelters have a combined euthanasia rate of over 94%. For thousands of stray and abandoned dogs in the area in which we operate, we are their only hope.
