My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

🐾 Hello world — meet Bear! 🐾
Don’t let the name fool you… this boy is as soft, sweet, and gentle as a teddy bear.

Bear is a 5-year-old, 52 lb shepherd/keeshond mix from Louisiana with a heart of pure gold. He is potty trained, fully vaccinated, neutered, and gets along wonderfully with everyone he meets — humans (he especially loves men!) and most dogs.

This handsome guy:
• Walks beautifully on a leash
• Enjoys baths and LOVES being brushed
• Is a champion napper and treat enthusiast
• Can be left home uncrated with zero issues — no accidents, no chewing, no destruction

Bear’s world was turned upside down when his owner of five years had to enter a nursing home. It was a heartbreaking goodbye, but one made out of necessity, not lack of love. Bear is loyal, gentle, and so ready to be someone’s best friend again.

❤️ He is truly the perfect companion and will fit effortlessly into almost any home.

👉 We are urgently looking for a foster for Bear in the Appleton, WI area.
