Peach has an amazing story. A few days ago, her previous owners posted on Insagram and Threads about needing to "get rid of her." The language was cruel and in the photos it seemed that Peach was wearing a prong collar 24/7 and when outside was tied to cinder blocks. Myself and about 200 other users online worked together to find people close to her. A sweet girl named Bekah drove picked up Peach and drove two hours to meet me halfway and hand her off to me to foster until we find her forever home.
Despite her past, she is the sweetest, most loving dog. Her trust in humans is not broken. But, she is very scared to be left alone. I am working on training her separation anxiety; she is insanely smart. She is already showing significant improvement, and I believe with a family who is willing to work with her, she would be a wonderful companion.
Peach seems anxious around both dogs and cats, so we think a solo pet home would be ideal for her. Humans who are home a lot are also ideal.
