My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.

Hello, my name is Zag! I am an approximately 5 month old Carolina dog mix. My foster mom tells me all the time what cute little ears I have and I also have these long model legs that seem to go on forever! But when you look into my big brown eyes, that is when you might just fall in love with me. I am a very playful pup, playing with my foster siblings and all the awesome toys my foster mom buys for us are some of my favorite things to do. I am more of a follower than a leader as my best friend right now is a little chihuahua who we all refer to as momma and she has really helped me as I was a little shy in my new foster home at first but I am just fine now. We just love to run around in the backyard but I never want to be far from my foster mom and I am always looking over my shoulder to be sure she is there. How would you like to be my constant companion, I would sure like to be yours and I think I would be really good at it! I am crate trained and I really don’t mind going in if there is a cookie involved. I am still working on my basic commands and leash training but I know I will get it with practice. I am also working on my potty training and I am doing good as long as I am kept on a schedule. So, what do you say, would you like to meet up and see if we could be a good match for each other. My forever family is out there could it be you? Apply for me today at BuffaloCares.org. Love, Zag

The Adoption process:
*Submit your online adoption application
* If you already have pets in your home, they must be up to date on their vaccinations.
*Once the reference & vet checks are complete and approved, we will be in contact to schedule a home visit and/or meet & greet with the animal you are interested in. All members of the family including any current pets must be present.
*Based on your references, home visit and meet & greet, we will approve or deny your application to adopt or recommend a different animal who may be a better fit for your home.
*If approved, we will set up a date for you to adopt your new companion animal. If an animal is not yet spayed/neutered, we will set up your adoption for a time after they have been altered. We will not adopt out any animal until they have been spayed/neutered unless the animal is determined, by our veterinarian, unable to be spayed/neutered due to a medical condition or that it would be a danger to their well being.
