Tulipan is a silly bundle of puppy energy. She warms up quickly to humans and is desperate to find her forever person to cuddle with. She is good with dogs and would benefit from having a young dog friend to play with. She is curious and loves to explore her surroundings. She does tend to guard all of her resources around other dogs (she does not guard around humans), so the new owner will need to continue working with her and make sure she is kept separate during mealtimes until she’s comfortable and acclimated to her new surroundings. She is good in the crate and is very close to being fully house trained (she won’t have any accidents if she’s taken out regularly). She does not like to be tethered or have barriers between her and other dogs; she is more relaxed when she is roaming free around them, so again, her new owner should continue teaching her confidence and basic manners, and she will fully thrive.

Interview
We will contact you via email to let you know if the dog is still available and to book a telephone call interview.

Meet the Pet
We'll invite you to meet the dog at a fair, or in some cases at the foster's home. Dogs over 6mos will go to a 1 week adoption trial.

Home Check
When the pup is in your home we'll follow up to see how it's going and volunteer will visit you for a home check
5.
Sign Adoption Contract
If all goes well you'll come to our next adoption fair to FINALIZE! Pay the fee, sign the contract, get your photo!

Dogs Without Borders screens potential applicants to make sure the dog is right fit for their home. We require an adoption application and a home-check. Our adoption fees are $325 for dogs over 1 year, $350 for puppies 6months - 1 year, and $425 for puppies under 6 months. All dogs are spayed/ neutered, vaccinated and microchipped prior to adoption. We also give new owners an ID tag.
