My personality

My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

**Meet Dean — a Gentle, Shy Soul Looking for His Perfect Home (with Jackie!)**

Dean is a very shy but incredibly sweet boy who just needs a little time and patience to show you his true heart. Once he bonds with you, he becomes your devoted shadow—quietly loyal, deeply affectionate, and happiest right by your side.

Dean shares a special, unbreakable bond with his best friend Jackie, and the two of them must be adopted together. Their connection gives Dean confidence, comfort, and joy, and they truly thrive as a pair.

Leash walks are one of Dean’s favorite things—he’s calm, easy to handle, and enjoys exploring the world at a gentle pace. However, he *can* jump a 4-foot fence, so he will need a secure yard with a taller fence or supervised outdoor time to keep him safe.

Dean and Jackie are looking for a patient, loving home that will give them the time and reassurance they need to settle in. With understanding and consistency, Dean will blossom into the loyal, affectionate companion he’s meant to be.

If you’re ready to open your heart to a sweet, sensitive boy and his best friend, Dean and Jackie are waiting to meet you.

Additional adoption info

Our dogs are special to us, so we do check references and may require home checks for adopters. Most of our dogs come from kill shelters, dumped or abused. Some maybe needy or in need of training.

Our adoption fees vary depending on the medical needs of the dog and cover all shots up to date according to the age of the dog, all required testing for diseases, spay or neutering of dogs (age appropriate), micro-chipped and transport fees (if we transport the dog).

We required a submitted application along with 3 non-related references. Please be patient, we are an all volunteer organization, we will get back to you as soon as we can.

Go meet their pets

We have events in Central Arkansas area and New England area. We operate through dedicated fosters. If you are not in Central Arkansas we can send you video or even do face time to allow you to see how the dog interacts with other dogs and fosters. We also can do live video with Periscope application for smart phones.

If the dog is not in your area we can transport to a local foster in your area. Transport usually takes 3-5 days depending on your location and method of transport.

More about this rescue

We're an all volunteer group of concerned citizens committed to animals in need of rescue. We are passionate about spaying/neutering to end unnecessary euthanasia due to pet over-population. We rescue from local high kill shelters and abandoned dogs. To adopt go to http://www.kcpetrescue.org/adoption-application.html
