Here's what the humans have to say about me:
🐾 Meet Niko — A Gentle, Affectionate Soul Looking for a Soft Place to Land 🐾
Niko is a 7-year-old neutered Staffordshire who came to us after his owner had to move out of state. Though his world has changed, this sweet boy’s heart is as warm as ever — he just needs someone patient and loving to help him feel secure again.
According to his previous owner, Niko has lived comfortably with other dogs and kids, is housebroken, and has no experience with cats.
Here at the shelter, staff have noticed that Niko is very timid at first and can be a bit hesitant around new people. But once he realizes he’s safe, he warms up quickly and seeks out comfort, pets, and affection. He truly wants to bond — he just needs a gentle hand and a calm environment to help him open up.
Niko does have some ongoing skin issues that will require continued treatment and medication, so his future family should be prepared to keep up with his care.
If you’re looking for a loyal, tender-hearted companion who just needs a little reassurance and love, Niko may be the perfect addition to your home. Come meet him and let him show you his soft, sweet side. 💙
