Skimmer is a miniature Australian Shepherd about 5.5 years old. I have had him since he was 8 weeks old, purchased from a breeder. I an older gentleman who is still working. Skimmer requires more attention than most dogs. He will be placed in a home with at least two adults, preferably one is a stay-at-home. Needs an active mental or physical active lifestyle, whether at home or outside. Skimmer has been professionally trained.
This little critter is a dedicated tennis ball retriever, so the vetting process will require proof that he will be placed in a home with a backyard- no compromises on this.
Downside: Because he is highly energetic, if he is at home alone without people, he may lick his leg to the point of baldness in a 1/2-inch area. Therefore, he needs to wear a cone when he is home alone. When walking on a leash, he will bark at other dogs. Off-leash no.
