🖤 Meet Kitty – The Shy Sweetheart With a Sneaky Competitive Streak!
Kitty is a beautiful black pup who came into rescue with her buddy Lioness. She starts out a little shy, but once she decides you’re safe, she warms up fast and becomes an A+ snuggler. This girl loves her people.
Kitty has a playful side too—she’s obsessed with toys, especially balls. If you throw it, she’s going for it… even if you weren’t throwing it to her. She’s got that funny “I must win the ball” energy.
She’s still learning the ropes of home life. Potty training is a work in progress, and she’ll investigate the doggy door but hasn’t quite mastered going outside to do her business yet. She’s learning “sit,” though, and she’s a smart little follower who takes cues from the other dogs in the home.
A few things to know:
• Kennels are not her vibe—she’ll bark and whine.
• She alert-barks when visitors arrive or when the other dogs bark.
• She’s good with other dogs after a proper intro.
• Leash walking is new to her, and she may pull back—she just needs gentle patience and guidance. No off leash unless in securely fenced yard.
• It’s unknown how she does with kids, cats, or men so far.
Kitty is a sweet, sensitive girl who just needs someone willing to give her reassurance, structure, and time. Once she trusts you, she’s all heart.

Adoption fees for cats/kittens are $130.00. All cats/kittens have been wormed, altered, tested for feline leukemia, given age-appropriate vaccinations, and are microchipped.
Adoption fees for dogs/puppies are $300.00 All dogs/puppies have been wormed, altered, tested for heart worm, given age-appropriate vaccinations, and are microchipped.
We also offer our Senior for Senior program matching senior animals to people over the age of 63. Adoption fees are waived for this program.

Based in Rochester MN, the organization is totally driven by volunteers.
Camp Companion is dedicated to providing low-cost spay and neuter services for feral, farm and stray companion animals. The organization is funded solely by donations, fundraisers, grants, and adoption fees. All funds we receive are used for veterinary expenses and the cost of care incurred for the animals waiting for their forever homes.
Through our spay / neuter efforts, we encounter kittens and stray domestic cats that need rescue services and a forever home. We have no shelter, but rely on foster homes to care for these rescued pets. Every animal we offer for adoption is spayed or neutered.
