My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi, I’m Pickles. I’m a shy, sensitive indoor cat who does best in quiet spaces. For the past two years I’ve lived in a busy home with kids and another cat, and it’s been overwhelming for me. I spend most of my time hiding, and the stress has made it hard for me to use the litter box consistently. My family tried different litters and boxes, but with so much activity and another cat around, I haven’t been able to settle. But since being at the shelter I have been using the litterbox consistently. I can be affectionate with the people I trust, and I’ll come out for gentle pets when I’m feeling brave. I don’t like being picked up and prefer to keep things on my own terms, but I’m a sweet girl at heart. Because the home is busy and they need a clean space for their children, my family wants me to have a calmer place where I can feel safe and get back on track. I would love a peaceful, patient home without other pets, where I can relax, rebuild my confidence, and be the quiet companion I truly am.
