I was rescued near Broome Street after a mysterious ‘haircut attempt.’ We`re not talking about it. I’m recovering with snacks, snuggles and lots of love! If you recognize me please call NHS at 904-321-1647. I will be on stray hold until 12/15/25. Proof of ownership required.

People can visit our adoptable pets at our adoption center on Amelia Island at 639 Airport Road, Fernandina Beach, Florida 32034. We are open Tuesday - Thursday 11 am - 5 pm, Friday 11 am - 6 pm, and Saturday - Sunday 11 am - 4 pm. Showings stop 30 minutes before close.

We are a no kill rescue and adoption shelter on Amelia Island Florida. We provide Animal Control services for the City of Fernandina Beach. We have the only off-leash dog park on the Island and we also operate two resale stores.
