Beau is a very beautiful, young black and white cat who luckily was saved from a large outdoor colony where not all of the cats were thriving. He has been residing with his foster brother, Simba, and the two have formed a warm and playful relationship. They oftentimes share a very small space in a cat tree and literally lie on top of each other. Beau is very protective of his smaller brother.
Beau is a perfect gentleman who loves pets (especially behind the ears) and consistently snuggles with and climbs on his foster mom. Being picked up still makes him a bit nervous, but we suspect that that may change once he has found his forever family. He is very food motivated and loves treats (especially churus). Because he is so young, he would love to be adopted with another TCR kitty (his BFF Simba?) or into a home with a friendly resident cat. He met children while in foster and loved when they read to him. He has not been exposed to dogs, but it seems that he could likely get along with a cat-savvy pup after proper introductions.
Beau is estimated to be almost eight months old. He is neutered, flea treated, dewormed, microchipped, vaccinated and has tested negative for FIV/FeLV. Don't let this beautiful boy slip through your fingers. Apply for him today!
**Please note: Beau came from an area with many other cats, and where some cats were known to be FeLV+. Beau tested FeLV- on IDEXX snap testing here at TCR (twice!), but to be extra cautious, his future adopters may want to consider having him retested in the future, and/or having any resident cats FeLV vaccinated.

Typically we talk a little with potential adopters to find a cat who is a good fit before sharing the application.
2.
Approve Application
We check over the application including checking vet references and doing landlord checks.
3.
Interview
We spend more time chatting with the adopters to specifically go over any questions from the application and details about the specific cat.
4.
Meet the Pet
Potential adopters have a meet and greet with the cat or kitten in the foster home.
5.
Sign Adoption Contract
At the meet and greet, if all goes well, the adoption contract can be signed, the fee can be paid, and the pet can go home!

Additional adoption info
We try to do our best to make sure we find good fitting, responsible homes, without wasting a lot of our time. Our app has a lot of screening questions which help eliminate potential adopters who might not be serious (they usually just don't return the app), or not a good fit, which is why the in depth interview happens once the app is returned.

We are a small but dedicated 501c3 nonprofit cat rescue specializing in making one person's garbage kitten another person's forever cat.
Our mission is to reduce feline suffering and overpopulation using a combination of TNR and adoptions. We foster and socialize whenever we have the resources to do so, including behavioral cats and kittens who might otherwise just be candidates for TNR.
