Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Meet Pepper 🐾
Pepper is a 3-year-old Pomeranian mix who came to us from a hoarding situation and had very minimal human interaction before entering rescue. Because of this, much of the world is completely new and overwhelming to her.
She has never worn a collar or harness. She has never been on a leash. Because of this, Pepper is considered a flight risk and will need a home that understands the importance of safety, secure handling, and a very cautious approach as she learns to feel safe.
Pepper is shy, fearful, and unsure, but she deserves a calm, compassionate foster or adopter who can give her the space, consistency, and understanding she needs to feel safe. A quiet home with realistic expectations will be essential for her success.
Pepper has shown that she can do well with cats and is good with other dogs when given proper, slow introductions. She also loves stuffed toys, which bring her comfort and help her feel a little more secure as she settles in.
If you have experience with fearful dogs or hoarding cases—or simply a big heart and patience—Pepper could truly benefit from you. Even a foster home can make a life-changing difference for her.
