My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Itty is a lovely grey DSH with a big heart and an even bigger personality. She recently came to us after her owner could no longer care for her, and now she's ready to find a new forever family to adore.

Coming from a multi-cat household, Itty is a true social butterfly - she loves other cats and gets along with everyone she meets. She is a world-class lap cat; the type who melts into you the moment you sit down and purrs like she's getting paid for it. She will follow you every where you go and get into everything that you're doing. Including her in all household activities is a non-negotiable - she is a very persistent companion.

But let's talk treats. Itty doesn't just "like" them...she loses her adorable little mind for them. Shake the bag or produce a Churu and watch her pop up like a furry jack-in-the-box, ready to perform her best "I'm cute, give me snacks" routine.

Friendly, loving, silly, and sweet, Itty is the complete package - your future cuddle buddy, your shadow and your treat-motivated comedy show.

More about this shelter

Founded in 1941 by the third female graduate from Cornell University’s College of Veterinary Medicine, SAVE is an independent 501(c)(3) non-profit animal shelter dedicated to protecting the health and welfare of homeless companion animals in the greater Princeton area and beyond. Through six core programs of Rescue, Shelter, Health and Welfare, Spay/Neuter, Foster and Adoption.

The SAVE shelter facility has the capacity to house upwards of 100 animals at a time (approximately 75 cats and 25 dogs). The shelter exceeds no-kill benchmark standards and ensures that adoptable animals facing adversity are given a lifeline, a chance to flourish, and the promise of a better tomorrow.
