Meet Turkey!
Our perfectly imperfect senior gentleman with a heart as big as his adorable tomcat head.
At 10 years old, this sweet old soul has survived more than any kitty ever should. He spent who knows how long wandering the streets crusty, dusty, weather beaten, and trying his very best to fend for himself in the elements.
But beneath that rough exterior was a treasure we didn’t expect: the softest, sweetest, most affection craving boy you could ever imagine.
The moment Turkey realized he was safe, warm, and loved, he blossomed leaning into cheek scratches like it’s the greatest gift in the world and soaking up every ounce of attention with grateful little eyes.
He's still not a fan of being picked up though, understandably, and needs a home without young kiddos who might spook him.
He’s quickly become a staff favorite (okay, everyone’s favorite) with his charming old man face, giant tomcat cheeks, and tender hearted personality.
Since joining us, Turkey has been neutered and had a much needed dental. He lost a few teeth, but don’t worry, he still eats just fine and has not lost one ounce of his enthusiasm for life… or snacks.
Turkey did test positive for FIV, but he’s not letting that dim his shine one bit. He’s healthy, happy, and absolutely thriving now that he’s safe indoors.
This gentle senior is eternally grateful for soft beds, regular meals, and warm hands that scratch his cheeks, and he would love nothing more than a forever home where he can spend his golden years curled up next to someone who adores him.

Our adoption fee includes the pets spay or neuter, microchip, up to date vaccines, FelV/FIV/Heartworm test and fecal check. All adoption fees can be found on our website serenityanimalhospital.net
The first step to our adoption process is to fill out an adoption application on our website, www.serenityanimalhospital.net, under the "Adopt From Us" Tab. Once you hit submit, it will come straight to our adoptions email. Once your application has been processed, our adoptions team will reach out with you to schedule a meet and greet.
** Please note: any cats/kittens adopted from us must be kept as INDOOR ONLY cats and cannot be declawed per our adoption contract. **

We are an animal hospital in Sterling Heights Michigan that is also a licensed shelter.
We take on dogs, puppies, cats, and kittens in need. We vet all of our adoptable animals and take the utmost care of them until we can find them their perfect loving forever homes.
All of our adoptable pets are spayed/neutered, up to date on age appropriate vaccines, receive fecal testing and treatment, and are microchipped before adoption.
Our dogs are heartworm tested and kept on prevention here with us. We do require that they stay on year round heartworm prevention after going home.
Our cats are all triple tested for FIV, FelV, and Heartworm disease before adoption.
