Here's what the humans have to say about me:
A bit about Loch: - limited history with children; all interactions should be supervised; older children recommended - has lived with a cat; slow, supervised introductions required - must be only dog in home - high prey drive
If you`re an active family who likes to keep busy and understands that Fetch is the best game ever, then you need to meet Loch! He`s an incredibly friendly border collie who loves to meet new people; especially if they`ll play the world`s best game with him! Like other border collies, Loch has a high prey drive and a big brain and would benefit from having lots of toys and enrichment activities available to help him burn energy. He has some history with kids, but easily becomes over-excited when greeting new people, so may not do well with young or timid children. Loch learned the importance of respecting cats when he was a puppy, so may do well with some cats. However, he`d prefer to be the only dog in your household. If Loch sounds like the boy you`ve been waiting for, then visit him today!

From our earliest beginning, Calgary Humane Society was more than a shelter. As Calgary’s first-established animal welfare organization, connecting the lives of animals and people while providing essential animal services to the community remains our central priority.
Today, Calgary Humane Society (CHS) shelters almost 5,000 homeless animals each year. In 1922 we set out to help as many animals as we can and we will continue to do so by fostering the values of respect, compassion, commitment, teamwork, integrity and innovation.
Our mission is to help as many animals as we can.
Our vision is using innovative strategies to lead, inspire, and educate in the humane treatment of companion animals, fostering an enlightened community that consistently demonstrates respect and compassion for all animals.
Our dream is a community where animals are valued, humanely treated, and live enriched lives.
Calgary Humane Society is committed to creating a better tomorrow through education and collaboration.
