A 7-year-old Mini Poodle mix who has known nothing but love her entire life — and is ready to find it again.
Maddie came to All Paws on Deck with her siblings Benji, Lois, and Mia after their human mom sadly passed away. These dogs were clearly cherished, and Maddie’s gentle, affectionate nature shows it in every way. She is sweet, soft, and happiest when she’s close to her people.
Maddie does have some vision impairment, but it hasn’t slowed her down one bit. She’s been busy exploring, sniffing everything, testing out every dog bed (approved ✔️), and politely asking to go outside. She knows her name and does especially well when you clap or gently touch her so she knows where you are — something that actually seems to make her feel safe and reassured. Being touched is clearly her comfort zone… and yes, she is a certified cuddle bug who loves to snuggle up (snoring included 😴).
Maddie is settling into her foster home beautifully. She’s had no accidents, is finding her way around with confidence, and continues to show just how gentle and easygoing she is. She may need a little help with stairs going down, but going back up is no problem at all.
Maddie is spayed, affectionate, and ready to enjoy the slower, cozier life she deserves. She would thrive in a loving home that understands that vision loss doesn’t take away from her joy — it simply means she connects a little differently, and even more deeply.
