Mattie is a sweet 2-year-old mixed breed who came to us as a stray on 11/12 with her newborn puppies in tow. She did an amazing job being a mama, and now that all of her puppies have been adopted, it’s finally Mattie’s turn to find a home of her own.
Mattie is a gentle, dainty girl with a calm and easygoing demeanor. She sits quietly, has a mostly loose and relaxed body, and walks easily on leash while calmly accepting handling. During her playgroup assessment on 1/13/26, Mattie showed polite social skills—she greeted other dogs with a calm body and gentle curiosity. While she attempted to play, she seemed a bit unsure of how, and she never corrected other dogs, even when play got rough. Because of this, Mattie was picked up early from playgroup to keep things comfortable for her.
Mattie would be considered social with a gentle, dainty playstyle, and she may do best with calm, respectful canine companions who won’t overwhelm her. She’s the kind of dog who would thrive in a loving home where she can continue to build confidence, enjoy peaceful companionship, and finally relax after taking such good care of her babies.

The process is quite simple! Please stop by and see for yourself. All animals are spayed/neutered, dewormed, vaccinated, and microchipped prior to going home. Adoption prices may vary to what is listed. Dogs under 6 months/under 25 lbs are $200. Dogs over 6 months/over 25 lbs are $100. Cats under 6 months are $50. Cats over 6 months are $25.

We house approximately 400 animals at any given time. We take in 20-30 new animals a day. We are always in need of fosters both short and long term, donations, and volunteers.
