My personality

My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hello, I'm DARLA, also know as "darling Darla". My foster mom says it's because of I am just perfect, maybe it's my sweetness, adorableness, or just my out-of-this-world gorgeousness, I know I'll bring immense joy to someone's life.

My foster mom has nothing but nice things to say about me – she thinks I'm funny, lovable, playful, loyal, and basically amazing. With loads of energy, I'm up for walks anytime, and the best part is that I'm fantastic on a leash. But, I've got a chill side too. I love lounging in sunny spots, cuddling on the couch, or just sitting by the window, taking in the world outside. I'm just a happy pup, searching for a happy life.

I'm a social butterfly, loving everyone I meet – adults, children, big dogs, little dogs. I'm super friendly and easy-going. Different environments? No problem. Even sirens and fireworks don't bother me! Did I mention I'm smart? I've been practicing tricks, and my favorite is the "shake" – pretty pawsome, right?

Just to be transparent, the vet thinks that I may have been involved in a hit and run when I was much younger, so my back leg is a little off, it doesn't seem to be slowing me down any, but just wanted you to know. Just makes me extra special and imperfectly PERFECT!

I'm all geared up and waiting to meet my forever family or person. I'll love you unconditionally and promise to be the bestest girl ever. If you're ready to meet me, head over to www.aarflove.org and complete an application. I'm hoping to be YOUR darling Darla, bringing endless love and joy into your life!

Their adoption process

1.

Submit Application

Please complete all areas of the adoption application so that we can gather a bit of information about you. This helps us match up the pet

2.

Interview

If your application is a good match for the pet you’ve applied for, or one of the other pets in our care, we will reach out to you.

3.

Meet the Pet

If you are matched to one of our pets, we will have you meet at a mutually agreed upon location. We want to be sure there is a connection.

4.

Home Check

If distance is an issue, a virtual tour or video of your home can be arranged. We are not looking for a perfect home, just a safe home

Additional adoption info

We have potential adopters complete our adoption application. We will then arrange a meet and greet at a mutually agreed upon place; for cats, it is our adoption playroom. If it is a good match we do a home check to make sure all other pets and persons in the home all get along and we check the security of the home.

Adoption application

Go meet their pets

We do have an adoption playroom for cats/kittens only, which is in Morgan Hill, CA and we are open on Saturdays and some select Sundays for the public 12-3pm and also pre-arranged appointments. For the dogs/puppies, we have our meet and greets at one of our founders home in San Martin, CA.

More about this rescue

All Animal Rescue & Friends (AARF) is a 501(c)3 non-profit all-volunteer rescue organization focused on physically rescuing and reuniting lost/found animals within our community. We provide medical assistance and care to the injured, abused/neglected, abandoned, and under-age animals. We also rescue at-risk animals from local shelters.

For the animals that come into our Rescue, they are placed in safe, nurturing foster homes to prepare them for adoption. We are dedicated to match each and every animal with the very best forever home.

We are committed to providing education and support for local TNR efforts/colony caretakers, the promotion of local spay/neuter programs, the importance of microchips for reuniting lost pets, and general wellness and care for pets within our community.
