About Me: Spark came to AVHS a little shutdown, however has been making great progress towards opening up and coming out of his shell in the short time he has been here. His happy personality is finally getting time to shine as he becomes more socialized with shelter staff! Spark is still a bit of a shy boy, especially with strangers, so it`s still best to take it slow with introductions, but Spark is proving himself to the shelter staff as a happy go luck goofball just missing his furever home!

We recommend calling the shelter at 719-395-2737 after you submit your application to ensure that we have received it. You can also give us a call if you have any questions or would like to learn more about a specific animal. Walk-ins are welcome during our open hours Monday-Saturday 12-5pm, although an adoptable animal may be in a foster home instead of at the shelter, so we also recommend calling us prior to driving to the shelter to confirm the pet`s current location.
