Jack is a 6 month old Heeler/Aussie mix. He weighs 40 lbs and has the prettiest coloring. Jack gets along with other dogs. He has a lot of energy and needs an active home. Jack is currently spending a few weeks an obedience trainer so he can be well trained for his adoptive family.
Jack has been vet checked, neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, and is on heartworm/flea prevention.

We require an adoption application and each application goes through a screening process. They sign an agreement the dog will come back to us if they ever need to rehome it. Adoption fees are paid after the family meets the dog and decides to adopt it.

The Animal Protection League of Mercer County is a no kill organization dedicated to saving pets in need in Mercer County, Ohio, and the surrounding counties. We are a 501 (c) 3 non profit charitable organization. We pull dogs from kill shelters and take in owner surrenders. All our dogs are get their vet work done before adoption and are microchipped. We do treat heartworm positive dogs and provide vet care for stray/injured pets. This is a foster based rescue and all our dogs stay in foster care until adopted.
