Here's what the humans have to say about me:
🐾💙 Meet Odin — A Brave Young Soul Ready for a Fresh Start 💙🐾
Odin is an 8–9 month old neutered male Pitbull/Husky mix who has already lived more life than any puppy ever should. In his short time, he’s been passed around through five different homes, including time spent living on the street. When you’re shuffled hither, thither and yon, you learn to protect yourself. For Odin, that meant keeping his back to the wall and trusting no one.
On his very first day with us, Odin chose exactly one person to trust — the young woman who picked him up. Everyone else? Absolutely not. But we didn’t give up. Each staff member sat with him, fed him treats, spoke softly, and gave him space. One tiny moment of trust at a time.
And now? Odin has begun to bloom.
He trusts every staff member enough to be moved, cared for, and even show off his silly, wiggly, puppy personality that had been buried under fear. He wants to love and be loved — he just needs the right people who will meet him where he is.
Will Odin pop into a new home and instantly become a carefree, happy-go-lucky dog?
Nope.
But what he will do is reward patience and understanding a thousand times over.
Odin needs a family who will:
✨ Come spend time with him at the shelter to earn his trust
✨ Move slowly, gently, and celebrate the small victories
✨ Give him structure, security, and unconditional acceptance
✨ Let him open his heart at his pace
Is Odin worth that extra effort?
1000% he is.
Once Odin trusts you, he is loyal, goofy, loving, and deeply devoted — a truly special dog who just needs someone to finally choose him forever.
Adoption Fee: $300
Odin is neutered, started on his vaccination schedule, and microchipped. He weighs 35.1 kg/77.2 lbs.
