"I never back down, I never quit". That's our little spicy John Cena. At just over 8 pounds, he is big time resilience in a small package!
Some of our staff and volunteers were at Chicago Animal Care and Control doing enrichment activities when an owner came in to surrender John Cena and his companion, Florio. Their little feet never hit the CACC floor, because we brought them right to Heartland!
It was obvious John Cena and his buddy Florio had not experienced much socialization. Neither of them had been groomed for some time, maybe ever. Fortunately, that is all behind them now, they are getting all the nutrition, vetting, and calm affection they deserve!
John Cena is still very skittish and shy. He shakes when encountering new people, but will allow himself to be picked up and cuddled. He's still young at 3 years old, so if you are willing to be patient, give him time, unconditional love, and plenty of gentle, positive reinforcement, he is sure to flourish into the confident, affectionate companion he is destined to be!
John Cena’s adoption fee is $375. This animal is neutered, up to date on core vaccines, and Heartworm negative.
