Meet Ivan - a true force of nature who is ready to turn your life upside down in the best way possible. This two-year-old menace is an absolute delight to the right people and a whirlwind to everyone else. He is looking for a family that find his quirks as charming and silly as we do.
Unique and goofy, Ivan’s main goals in life are playing and eating 24/7. He firmly believes that anything and everything is a toy. That includes your feet. His antics will keep you endlessly entertained as his curiosity and sheer gusto for life speed him through the day. Because Ivan has such a big personality, he finds the company of other cats a bit much. He would much prefer to be the only fluffy critter in the home. When he finally tires himself out, Ivan loves nothing more than settling in for pets and snuggles.
Ivan is neutered, microchipped, and up to date on his vaccines. You can visit him at the shelter Tuesdays through Saturdays from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM or Sundays from 12:00 to 5:00 PM.

We strive to ensure a safe, healthy, and loving environment that will provide temporary shelter for abandoned, stray, and surrendered animals and to find each animal a new and prosperous home.
The Babinski Foundation is a private 501c3 animal shelter located in Pequot Lakes, MN. We are a safe place to surrender dogs and cats. We also are a stray drop-off facility for stray cats and dogs.
OUR STORY
The Babinski Foundation was established in 2010 by Donald and Elizabeth Babinski owners and founders of Babinski Properties which owns multifamily housing in Minnesota, Florida and South Dakota. He and his wife Elizabeth were working tirelessly to get the animal shelter opened which was their dream, but Donald Babinski passed away August 11th, 2014 before the shelter could open. Elizabeth continued where they left off and the Foundation opened in January 2016 in Pequot Lakes, MN. Elizabeth passed away on November 13th, 2020. Donald and Elizabeth’s dream was finally realized, and Donald and Elizabeth’s surviving family and friends will continue to work hard to fulfill their mission.
