Here's what the humans have to say about me:
🐶 Meet Jennie-O 🐶
Once a shy wallflower, Jennie-O has truly blossomed in foster care and is showing her sweet, affectionate heart more every day. With a little patience and a lot of love, this gentle girl becomes a devoted companion who just wants to be close to her people (and her dog friends!).
What to know about Jennie-O:
💕 Shy at first, but now much more outgoing and very affectionate
🏡 Thrives in a calm, patient home; best suited for a quiet household without small children
🐶 Does well with other dogs and enjoys gentle play
🚽 Fully potty trained
🦴 Loves food and enjoys chew toys
🧠 Knows her name and is currently learning sit
😂 Has a flair for dramatic, hilarious lounging poses
Important note:
Jennie-O has significant separation anxiety and needs either a human or another animal present when left alone. Without companionship, she may vocalize and become destructive—even after short periods. A home with someone around often, or a confident canine companion, will help her feel safe and secure.
From her foster:
“She’s become so much less shy and incredibly loving. She’s affectionate, sweet, and happiest when she’s not alone. She’s made great progress and just needs the right environment to continue thriving.”
Jennie-O has done especially well alongside another calm, confident dog (like her foster companion, Lonnie), so a home with a friendly dog may be a wonderful fit—though the right human setup could work too.
