My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Zero!
Zero is a certified Ol’ Man but, in name and spirit, is still not even one. Zero knows how to enjoy the good things in life - a comfy bed, doddering walk around the block, fun toys, plenty of tasty snacks, and of course his very favorite thing is when people scratch that perfect spot just abode his tail. Zero is friendly and sweet with everyone, he loves meeting new people (even if his Ol’ Man ears can’t always hear what they say). Though he can’t keep up with their energy, he enjoys the company of youngsters, he’ll let puppies bounce off of him and watch them bounce and play. Zero has also lived with a cat before, so he would likely get along with most resident pets in the home.

Though Zero is happy and has good quality of life, due to his age he will be a hospice placement. Zero is looking for a warm home and a loving family where he will be cherished for the remaining months of years of his life.

Zero is currently in foster care, if you are interested in meeting him please complete an adopter’s profile at parl.org and email cshamgochian@parl.org to set up a meet and greet

Their adoption process

Additional adoption info

The first step in our adoption process is to submit an adopter profile through our website. We then encourage you to visit PARL at 34 Elbow Street and get to know the animals we have available. You do not need an appointment, and we invite you to visit us often. PARL’s goal is to assist you in finding your best match for a lifelong companion.

When you arrive, you’ll sign PARL’s visitor log, and staff will direct you to PARL’s cat rooms, small animal spaces, or dog kennels (depending on your preference.) We encourage you to spend time outside with the dogs, or petting our cats and small animals. Please ask questions -- that's why we're here.

If you don't find what you are looking for the first time, please come see us again! Chances are that we will have some new furry friends available for adoption, and one of them might be purr-fect for you!
