My name is Maverick!

Hello!  My name is Maverick. My foster mom said she decided on that name because as soon as I got to my foster home I became 'Top Gun' despite the 3 other dogs that live there. I am a 2 year old (approximate age) male Chiweenie mix weighing in at 14.5 pounds. I am neutered, fully vaccinated and heartworm negative.  All I need now is my new family.  I have no problem jumping right up on your couch and/or bed and finding myself a spot on top of a pillow.  And I love to root around and get under the covers. And boy do I like a lap! I am a little nervous when I meet new people and other dogs so I will need slow introductions but once you earn my trust I will be your best friend. I live with other dogs in my foster home and we have become great playmates. i have not been around small children so not sure how I would feel about them. I do love a good toy but mostly try to find the perfect spot to hide it but I am known to run zoomies through the house if i get really excited. I am crate trained and housebroken.
