My personality

My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet NELLY!

If you're in search of a laid-back companion, a movie buddy, and a loving family member all in one, Nelly is your gal!

This amazing dog is open-armed to be a part of any family. Despite her guardian breed, she's not your typical guard dog – instead, she welcomes everyone with a joyful wiggle and a kiss. Nelly is a heart-stealer, especially with kids of all ages. At around 9 years old, she may have some mild arthritis, but thanks to pain management, you wouldn't even notice – she's living her best pain-free life!

Nelly, a mama who came to us from the Central Valley, delivered 11 puppies on her first day with us. She's a large breed, weighing about 120 lbs, and with that size comes big rewards. Her personality is truly one of a kind – she'll entertain you for hours. A gentle giant, Nelly is looking for someone who'll shower her with the affection she deserves. Due to her size, she'd do best as the only dog in the home. She gets along well with dogs of similar energy levels or those who don't pay much attention to her. Small animals might trigger her prey drive, so caution is needed around them.

If you're ready to open your heart and home to Nelly, head over to www.aarflove.org and complete an application. She's eagerly waiting to find her furever home, and it could be with you!

Their adoption process

1.

Submit Application

Please complete all areas of the adoption application so that we can gather a bit of information about you. This helps us match up the pet

2.

Interview

If your application is a good match for the pet you’ve applied for, or one of the other pets in our care, we will reach out to you.

3.

Meet the Pet

If you are matched to one of our pets, we will have you meet at a mutually agreed upon location. We want to be sure there is a connection.

4.

Home Check

If distance is an issue, a virtual tour or video of your home can be arranged. We are not looking for a perfect home, just a safe home

Additional adoption info

We have potential adopters complete our adoption application. We will then arrange a meet and greet at a mutually agreed upon place; for cats, it is our adoption playroom. If it is a good match we do a home check to make sure all other pets and persons in the home all get along and we check the security of the home.

More about this rescue

All Animal Rescue & Friends (AARF) is a 501(c)3 non-profit all-volunteer rescue organization focused on physically rescuing and reuniting lost/found animals within our community. We provide medical assistance and care to the injured, abused/neglected, abandoned, and under-age animals. We also rescue at-risk animals from local shelters.

For the animals that come into our Rescue, they are placed in safe, nurturing foster homes to prepare them for adoption. We are dedicated to match each and every animal with the very best forever home.

We are committed to providing education and support for local TNR efforts/colony caretakers, the promotion of local spay/neuter programs, the importance of microchips for reuniting lost pets, and general wellness and care for pets within our community.
