My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Sugar and Butter are adorable tri-color American guinea pig babies looking for a loving guardian together. Born on November 24th, they are almost three weeks old and ready to find their family.

Guinea pig puppies need socialization, hand feeding and a lot of love to become amazing pets.

They eat unlimited alfalfa, timothy, orchard and botanical hays, share fresh salad each day, fruits, veggies and pellets. Guinea pigs need daily vitamin C which they get from fresh pellets, a 1-inch squares of red pepper, a vitamin C cookie, or some of their dark leafy greens.

These little guys deserve a guinea pig loving home with people who will handle them daily, keep them well-fed, nails trimmed, and keep their habitat nice and clean.

If you’re interested in meeting and possibly adopting Sugar and Butter, please fill out an adoption application at https://friendsofpetraits.com/guinea-pig-adoption-application/ and follow up to make an appointment by contacting friendsofpetraits@gmail.com

Their adoption fee of $75 as a pair benefits the Friends of Petraits Rescue Group. For an additional $75, you can purchase their Midwest guinea pig cage (two-foot by four-foot), and all the supplies you’ll need to get you started.

They are being fostered in Chicago’s Andersonville neighborhood.
