My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Snuggles, the affectionate 3 year-old, 48-pound lab mix with a heart as big as her name suggests. Coming all the way from Mississippi, Snuggles spent her entire life thus far in a shelter until fate smiled upon her and she found herself rescued by Peace4Paws, where she was finally embraced by a loving foster family. This is her first taste of what a real home feels like, and she's thriving in the warmth of companionship.

Socialization is second nature to Snuggles, who happily interacts with her sister and other dogs, wagging her tail in delight at every new friend she makes. Her love extends to people too, showering them with kisses and hugs, eager to bond with her newfound human companions. She loves being around the presence of children and would thrive as a family dog.

Initially timid upon arriving in New Jersey, Snuggles has blossomed with patience and care. Richie from Greta Trains Dogs attests to her remarkable transformation, noting how she quickly shed her nervousness to embrace trust and adjust to her new surroundings.

Despite spending considerable time in pens and kennels, Snuggles maintains her playful spirit, finding joy in outdoor adventures and car rides alike. Now, she seeks a second chance at a life beyond the four walls of her former enclosure, yearning for the love and stability only a forever family can provide.

Rest assured, Snuggles is spayed, fully vetted, and up to date on all her shots, boasting a clean bill of health according to reports and observations. Snuggles can't wait to embark on this new chapter of her life with you.

More about this rescue

Peace4paws is a 501 (c) 3 non profit public charity centered in Northern New Jersey. Through our foster home system, we are able to support the rehoming and adoption of dogs from kill shelters as well as facilities of research and related fields. Founded in 2007, our initial mission focused on supporting sanctuary and forever homes for animals retired from use in research and related fields. In the past few years we have broadened our scope of rescue. We continue to help our own retired research animals and independent sanctuaries but also save shelter dogs. We are able to do this work through the efforts of our volunteer network and generous donors. Please see our website or facebook page "Peace4Paws" to meet our adoptable dogs, success stories or volunteer opportunities. We organize fundraising events centered around yoga, music, health, or animal friendly activities. We are also involved with student outreach and education. We would love to work with you.
