My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Panda – Gentle Soul Seeking a Safe Place to Land

Panda is a 1-1/2 year-old male, weighing about 40 pounds, with a heart as tender as his name suggests. He’s in a foster in KY teaching him to trust and getting over his shy ways.  There’s a quiet sweetness in him that’s just waiting for the right person to help it shine through.

Panda is good with other dogs and cats, making him a wonderful candidate for a multi-pet household. He’s been treated for his skin and health—he’s being seen for mange and is currently being treated with dewormer, Bravecto chews, and a medicated shampoo. He has come a long way! He’s also received his Rabies and Da2PP vaccines, setting him up for a healthier future. He has not yet been neutered.

Panda would thrive in a calm, patient home where he can take his time learning to trust and feel safe. If you’re someone who can see the beauty in a shy pup and are ready to give Panda the love and consistency he needs, he could be your next loyal companion.

More about this rescue

Peace4paws is a 501 (c) 3 non profit public charity centered in Northern New Jersey. Through our foster home system, we are able to support the rehoming and adoption of dogs from kill shelters as well as facilities of research and related fields. Founded in 2007, our initial mission focused on supporting sanctuary and forever homes for animals retired from use in research and related fields. In the past few years we have broadened our scope of rescue. We continue to help our own retired research animals and independent sanctuaries but also save shelter dogs. We are able to do this work through the efforts of our volunteer network and generous donors. Please see our website or facebook page "Peace4Paws" to meet our adoptable dogs, success stories or volunteer opportunities. We organize fundraising events centered around yoga, music, health, or animal friendly activities. We are also involved with student outreach and education. We would love to work with you.
