My personality

My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Sweet Forest has traveled from Northern Manitoba to find her forever family.
Abandon and left to die with her litter mates. Sweet, curious, just trying to figure things out like a
typical puppy her age. Presently working on housetraining, including leash training.
Will take basic training and time for her to learn everything expected of her.
All age appropriate vaccines will be given and spay surgery when she reaches 6 months at our vet's or you can use your own vet.

Additional adoption info

Everyone fills out an adoption application where references are checked, home visits are preformed usually with the adoptable dog.We try and be fair when choosing an adoptive family for each dog in our care. Adoptions fees range from $250-$700 depending on age.

Go meet their pets

We attend rescue shows, markets and other events to help raise much needed funds and let people meet our adoptable puppies/dogs. They can also visit the dog at the foster home or when a home visit is conducted then they can meet the dog they are interested in.

More about this rescue

Spaniel Rescue was founded October 16, 2011. We primerely rescue spaniels but we will take in other small breed dogs whenever we can. I choose spaniels because l adopted a spaniel from a puppy mill when he was just 3 1/2 months old and almost died several times. It just seemed to be the right breed to start and rescue. Since l was a child l would bring home stray animals including a goose, snake, frogs, dogs, kittens, crow and other birds. It is just who l am and will continue doing this work with my final breath.
