I took in a American Staffordshire Terrier from a rehome site last week and they wont take her back; Gigi is 2.5 years old, 50 lbs, I just got her vaccinations at PETCO in Sugar House and scheduled her spay appointment with Humane Society.
She is 100% potty trained. Lets you know she needs to go out, very consistent schedule. She is strong, fast, smart, attentive and super friendly. The issue is that she won;t leave my side, hates being away from me to the point she jumps over gates, pushed out of her crate and will climb over car seats to get near me. She has no negative triggers, is never aggressive or reactive to people, dogs or other animals; just friendly and curious. I bought a new home and it required more work than expected which has become problematic with her needing attention and pushing into every room or activity. It has caused me a great deal of anxiety and stress and has affected my interactions and attitude with her. I am just not patient enough to train her now.
