Dixie is a sweet gal who lived her best life with two other cats with a nice family. But her beloved human mom died and Dixie and her friends needed new places to live. Dixie was confused when she first came to her foster home but she soon welcomed pets and belly rubs. She was content to stay in the one bedroom by herself in a fish cat hut and get adjusted to all the new sounds of her new foster home, but her foster parents then introduced her to other foster cats and their resident beagle. Dixie took it all in stride, at first just watching but eventually was brave enough to touch noses. She enjoys laying on the comfy bed and dreams of how kind the people have been to her in her life.
Dixie isn't one to approach you for attention, but she loooooves to receive it. She will make eye contact with you and chirp ever so softly and with such a high pitch she sounds like a little wren. She will tilt her head and reach out her paws at you and then show you the white of her belly, inviting you to give her some scratches. She is very calm and quiet and would be great for a low energy household or would make a great companion for an older person. She doesn't seem to mind other cats who don't bother her, and the same would go for dogs.
Dixie was born in 2016 and is currently living in a foster home in New Cumberland. her adoption donation is $75 which includes age-appropriate vaccines, dewormer, flea treatment, Felv/FIV testing, microchip, and spay.
