Dear Santa, It’s Me… Gus (but my friends call me Sausage)

I’m writing you this letter from Lucky Paws Rescue, where I’m staying again after being returned… even though I tried really, really hard to be a good boy this year.

My old family decided I was a “bad boy” who deserved a lump of coal.
Santa, I don’t understand why. I wasn’t perfect — but I tried. I just needed a little love, some attention, and someone to show me the rules so I could shine.

But here at Lucky Paws?
They tell me I’m wonderful.
They say I’m sweet, goofy, eager to please, and full of love. They tell me I deserve more than coal — I deserve a family who truly sees me.

So Santa… for Christmas, I’m not asking for toys or treats (okay, maybe a few treats).
I just want a home.
A home that won’t give up on me.
A home that teaches me, loves me, and lets me be the silly Sausage I am.

I promise I’ll be the best boy — the kind of boy who sticks by your side, warms your couch, and fills your heart.

If you can find me a family who believes in second chances, that’s all I want under the tree this year.
