Dog's Name: Diesel (DIE1225OWSMD)
Estimated Breed: English Bulldog MIX
Approximate Age: 4-5 years
Approximate Weight: 50 lbs
Currently Living at: Boarding
Adoption Fee: $400
DOG'S DESCRIPTION:
Through no fault of his own, Diesel is being returned to rescue. His adopter’s work schedule now requires frequent travel, making it impossible to give Diesel the time, attention, and love he truly deserves. Here’s what his current owner shares about this wonderful boy:
Diesel weighs just under 70 pounds and is an absolute sweetheart. He is great with people and has been incredibly gentle and respectful with the resident cat, showing no signs of aggression at all. He would likely do very well in a home with a cat. When it comes to other dogs, Diesel can be a bit hit or miss. He does well on walks and truly enjoys playing with other dogs at the dog park and in doggy daycare. However, he can be possessive around food and water with other dogs, so he would likely thrive best as the only dog in the home, or with careful management.Diesel hasn’t had extensive exposure to children, but he happily allows kids in his apartment complex to pet him and shows his sweet, silly personality around them. He has a good amount of energy and loves to play fetch, run around, and enjoy his toys—but when playtime is over, he’s all about the cuddles. Diesel is incredibly affectionate and would be perfectly content snuggling right in your lap whenever possible.Diesel is a loving, playful, and devoted companion who is ready for a forever home that can give him the stability and attention he deserves.
Your new pet will require a refresher in house-training. K-9 Lifesavers strongly recommends all new adopters enroll their new pet into obedience training. This provides for an easier transition into a new home, ensures the dog remains well socialized, and helps form a bond between the dog and the new family.
Adoption fees cover basic vetting, rabies (if puppy is old enough), distemper/parvo vaccinations, deworming, monthly heartworm prevention while in our care (if old enough), monthly flea/tick prevention while in our care, and transport costs. K-9 Lifesavers will also cover the cost of spay/neuter at our partner vet at 6 months of age or reimburse adopter for up to the amount of our partner vet cost should you choose to spay/neuter at your own vet.
