Meet Starling!
Starling is a striking German Shepherd mix puppy whose soulful eyes will stop you in your tracks—they truly look right into your heart. He and his siblings were found abandoned in a field before and ended up in a shelter in South Carolina. When one of our partners in SC reached out for help, SNARR knew these pups deserved a chance at a brighter future.

Starling is gentle, sweet, and incredibly loving. He bonds quickly with people of all ages and is just as friendly with other dogs. Whether he’s quietly soaking up affection or bouncing around with his puppy charm, Starling has a way of making you feel special just by being near him.

This enchanting boy will be arriving in New York on 12/13, ready to start his new life. Starling is searching for a forever family who will appreciate his tender nature and give him all the love he’s been waiting for.

An application, agreement, personal reference check, vet reference check and home visit are required.

Adoption fees are below. All of our animals are microchipped, up to date on vaccines and fully vetted.

Puppies under 1 year : $495
Adults 1-9 years: $375
Adults 9+ years: $300
Special Needs Animals: dependant on specific animal and his or her needs

ADDITIONAL DEPOSIT of $125 for spay/ neuter for all unaltered dogs unless the spay/neuter

We are located at 46 Sodom Road, Brewster, NY. You can come stop by 7 days a week from 11am-4pm. While we have 15-18 dogs housed at our adoption center, the majority of our dogs are located in private foster homes.

SNARR Northeast Animal Rescue's mission is "Giving Hope to the Hopeless.” SNARR stands for Special Needs Animal Rescue and Rehabilitation. We do focus on animals with special needs but we also rescue perfectly healthy dogs as well! SNARR works with municipal shelters all over the country to save animals at risk for being euthanized. Our dogs (and cats) are all in foster homes prior to being adopted.
