Meet the Pet
This helps Poodle and Pooch Rescue with pet care costs.
Hi, I’m Stanley, known for my kisses, courage, and curiosity! You can trust me on neighborhood watch, all 10 pounds of me, since my favorite perch is in front of a window. I’m a Terrier blend boy who is just 1 year old and I’m ready to find my family.
Favorite Things: Stanley loves toys – the more the better! He loves people, too, and will be the first one at the door to greet you and your guests with his famous kisses. The term personal space is a bit foreign to this little guy, who loves to be right where the action is. He enjoys neighborhood walks, car rides and long naps in comfy laps or dog beds.
Training & Manners: Stanley is house-trained when let out frequently and, for such a young pup, is doing great learning general manners. He’s food-motivated and eager to please, which makes training that much easier. He walks well on a leash and sleeps soundly in the people bed at night.
Health & Care: Stanley is neutered, heartworm negative, current on vaccinations, and microchipped. He’ll need monthly flea and heartworm preventatives, like any dog. Regular baths, brushing and nail clipping are all this handsome boy needs to look and feel his best.
Other Animals: Stanley gets along well with dogs of all sizes. He hasn’t had experience with cats yet but his foster family thinks he’ll do fine.
Children: This sweet guy is good with children of all ages. Gentle, dog-savvy kids will be the best fit given his young age and small size.
Ideal Home: Stanley would be happy in a single-family home or a townhouse, condo or apartment. He can be left alone in the home for a few hours without issues.
Overall: If you’re looking for a resilient, affectionate, playful companion, Stanley might be the one for you. If you think he might be, visit www.PoodleandPoochRescue.org to fill out an adoption application. If it seems like it could be a good match, his foster family will reach out with more information. His adoption donation is $550.
