My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Sandy – Our Snow-White Beauty!

Sandy is a gorgeous white Persian with a sweet, gentle nature and a touch of sass. She’s just under two years old and recently had her wellness visit with our friends at Value Pet Vet — she’s healthy, happy, and will be ready for her forever home next week!

Sandy can be a little reserved with other cats — she may hiss to show her boundaries but doesn’t fight. She’s a calm and loving girl who enjoys quiet companionship and a cozy spot to nap.

Please note: We require prior experience with Persian or other long-haired breeds for all Persian cat adoptions. These beautiful cats need consistent grooming to prevent matting, a high-quality diet such as Royal Canin Persian, and attention to their dental and overall health.

If you have experience caring for a Persian and are ready to open your heart and home to this snowy sweetheart, Sandy may be the perfect addition to your family.

Available: Next week
Breed: Persian
Age: Just under 2 years
Health: Fully vetted and wellness-checked
Personality: Sweet, calm, and elegant

All of our cats for adoption are sterilized, fully vaccinated, treated for fleas/worms, are negative for FIV/FELV, have a registered microchip, and come with their travel crate.  Adoptions are on a cost-recovery basis and are tax-deductible to the fullest extent of the law. Potential adopters for our Persian cats need to have prior Persian cat experience as they need to be well cared for.  Grooming, dental, and veterinarian exams are done once a year, and a good quality brand of cat food such as Royal Canin, Hills Science Diet, or Purina Pro plan is the upper tier level with a black label.

We are a rescue and get what we get in terms of cats in need of a home. In no way do we work with breeders or buy the cats from the Friday markets so we can put them up for adoption as a rescue.

Native Mau Cats of Egypt are the oldest known descendants of Egyptian domesticated cats (which have provided a partial foundation for the recent Egyptian Mau cat breed), and they are one of only a few naturally occurring, small, spotted cats in the world. Adoptions are on a cost-recovery basis and by an approved application.   NVEcats aims to increase education in Egypt and around the world about these magnificent and intelligent cats.

Cats and kittens are not adopted out on a “first-come, first-serve” basis. We choose to match our applicants and cats based on what we deem as best suited for that particular cat or kitten.
