Maria was part of a colony that was cleared in Castle Hayne, NC. She is very affectionate, sweet and playful. She is also in the regressive stage of Feline Luekemia. She is currently not contagious and her immune system is doing a great job of fighting the virus. We will advise anyone who would like to adopt Maria to further talk with the vet that ran the tests and their own vet before committing to caring for her. Her best friend, Ella, is in the same position. Ideally they could be adopted together to a home with no other cats.
