This helps Mutts N Such Rescue with pet care costs.
Meet Shimmer!
Shimmer is a soft, fluffy little beauty who truly lives up to her name. She’s playful, energetic, and loves wrestling with her sisters, chasing toys, and soaking up snuggles. Her personality shines through in everything she does, from the way she dives into playtime to the way she happily curls up for affection.
Shimmer had a tough start to life. She was born to a homeless woman, and sadly three of her siblings passed away before she and the remaining pups were surrendered to an independent rescuer. With mom being a 20-pound mixed breed and dad unknown, we expect her to grow into a medium-sized dog.
Like all young puppies, Shimmer will need continued training, consistency, patience, and socialization as she grows. She’s smart, eager to learn, and will thrive with someone willing to guide her through puppy manners and structure. Routine, repetition, and positive reinforcement will help her become a confident, well-rounded adult. She was born in October 2025 and is fostered in Texas.
OUR DOGS ARE FOSTERED IN TEXAS OR PENNSYLVANIA BUT AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION AND TRANSPORT OUT OF STATE. Read below for more information.
All of our dogs are located in a foster home in Texas or Pennsylvania. Our dogs are transported to a predetermined location agreed upon by the rescue. The adoption contract and fee are finalized prior to transport. As a Mutts N Such direct adoption, the adoption interview/meet and greet occurs on video call (Skype, FB Messenger call, Facetime, etc).
Our out of state adoption fee is $350 plus transport (varies by location). This fee includes all current vaccinations, deworming, a registered microchip, fecal analysis, spay/neuter for pets 6 months & older, and a heartworm test if over 6 months old. All dogs will be current on flea/heartworm prevention. A health exam will be completed and a certificate issued by a veterinarian within 10 days. If you are interested in adopting, please complete our application:
