This helps Above & Beyond English Setter Rescue with pet care costs.
Socialization: Frances loves to be petted by everyone and is very friendly. She lived in a foster home with other dogs and cats, and raised her puppies there.
Training: Frances walks well on a leash and will usually come when called, especially if you say "doggie bone!" when calling her. She is trained to use a doggie door.
Crate trained: Yes. She usually goes in on command when you say "kennel" or "doggie bone." She sleeps in her crate because she likes to chew on things in the home.
Leash trained: Yes, Frances walks well on a leash
Activity level/requirements: Frances is very glad that the exercise restrictions of HW treatment are over with. She loves to run and play but isn't hyper. She'd rather play with her people than other dogs, because then she can get some added pets.
Fence requirements: Physical fence would need to be 5 ft or higher.
Personality: Frances is very loveable and friendly to everyone she meets. You couldn't ask for a more loving, friendly dog. She does like to chew, and will chew on inappropriate items so needs to be re-directed with dog friendly chewies.
Health history: UTD on vaccinations, is spayed/neutered, microchipped, & on monthly heartworm preventative. Frances came into rescue very pregnant, delivering her puppies within a day of arrival! She was also HW positive. She raised her pups, and was successfully treated for the heartworm disease. It is very important that she remain on HWP the rest of her life.
Foster comments: We love Frances, but we have several dogs in our home and want to continue to foster. She has been a wonderful visitor in our home and we will miss her when she's gone but are looking forward to finding her loving forever home
.Foster Location: Corydon, Indiana
Volunteer transport can be arranged in the Continental US within a 1,000-mile distance between adopters & foster home. If interstate transport is provided for your adopted dog, there will be an additional charge of $75.00 for the required Certificate of Veterinary Inspection (CVI). Typically, we are able to transport your adopted dog to within 2 hours of your home. *Dogs can be adopted outside the 1000-mile transport distance; however, adopters must be willing to either fly their adopted dog, drive to a location within the 1000-mile transport range, or make independent transport arrangements for their adopted dog. Transports to far Western states, from Eastern states, may have additional restrictions.
