My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

**Adoption visits are by appointment only** If you see an animal you`re interested in, fill out an adoption questionnaire on our website https://everettwa.gov/161/Adopt-a-Pet

Meet Eleanor, a stunning 54-pound female Husky with all the spirited charm and independence her breed is known for. Eleanor is not only intelligent and full of energy—she’s also very loving and affectionate, forming strong bonds with the people she trusts. She’ll thrive with an adopter who understands Husky behavior and can provide the structure and stimulation she craves. Eleanor has a strong prey drive and should not be placed in a home with livestock. She has lived with other dogs her size and done well, so she may enjoy a canine companion with a similar temperament. Previously an outdoor dog, she’s now ready to transition into a home where she can learn the comforts of indoor life with patience and positive reinforcement. Like most Huskies, Eleanor is curious, vocal, and always ready for her next adventure. A secure yard and an active lifestyle will help her shine. If you`re looking for a loyal, affectionate, and high-energy companion, Eleanor might just be your perfect match.

Additional adoption info

Adoptions by Appointment
We've got awesome dogs, cats and other critters waiting for new families to come and adopt! The adoption process begins online, and all adoptions are done by appointment only. In most cases, animals are eligible to go home right away, so be prepared for your new animal to leave with you.

- Potential adopters complete an online adoption questionnaire at https://www.everettwa.gov/161/Adopt-a-Pet .

- If approved, adopters can then interact with the animal they wish to adopt. It is best for all members of the household to meet the animal prior to going home. Note: Shelter staff reserve the right to deny any adoption if we feel it is not in the best interest of the animal.

- Renters bring rental pet policy at time of adoption. Not having the rental pet policy available may delay or nullify an adoption.

- Adopters must be 18 years or older, and have valid drivers license or photo identification.

- Pet licenses are required for dogs and cats in the City of Everett and unincorporated Snohomish County.

- The adoption fee must be paid at the time of adoption. We accept Visa, Mastercard or cash. We are unable to accept checks for payment of fees or services.

The adoption process begins online, and all adoptions are done by appointment only. To reduce the animals' overall stress levels, we have decided to limit animal viewing to those people with appointments for specific animals.
