We are currently having issues with our adoption inquiry webform. If you have any questions or would like to schedule an appointment to visit with an animal or multiple animals, please email us directly at info@animalhope.org or call us 817-984-1129 between 12 pm and 6 pm.
Thank you so much for your interest in Jarrahdale. He is still available for adoption, and his adoption fee is $300. Jarrahdale is about 7 years old and weighs roughly 15.5 lbs. He came to us as an owner surrender due to an unsafe living situation, and despite everything he’s been through, he has remained an incredibly sweet and gentle little guy. He absolutely loves his outdoor playtime and has a calm, affectionate presence that makes him easy to adore.
Jarrahdale does have chronic allergic otitis, so he will need to stay on ear drops to keep him comfortable, but otherwise he checked out wonderfully during his medical evaluation.
Since we don’t observe our animals in home settings, we can’t guarantee whether they’re fully housebroken. Every pet adjusts differently, and some may need a bit of patience and consistency as they settle into a new routine.
Every animal adopted from us receives:
Spay/neuter surgery
Microchipping
Updated vaccinations
Blood and fecal testing (with treatment if needed)
Flea/tick and heartworm prevention
A free wellness exam within 7–10 days of adoption
To adopt, you must:
Be at least 21 years old
Live within one hour of our facility
If you’d like to meet Jarrahdale or have any questions, I’d be happy to help you set up a visit. He’s been waiting for a loving home, and we can’t wait to see him find the family he deserves.
Would you like to explore meeting Jarrahdale in person or learning more about his personality and care?

Our adoption fees for adult dogs start at $300, though could be higher based on adoption demand and medical costs. Our adoption fees for puppies start at $400, though could be higher based on adoption demand, and includes 4 veterinary visits to update vaccines and perform spay/neuter. Some dogs have higher adoption fees because of adoption interest
Our shelter mission focuses on medical and behavioral rehab cases, so our adoption fees never cover our costs.
We have an adoption application for dogs and cats and will check a vet reference as well as information regarding your home situation and pet compatibility.
Some adoptions will require a home visit.

More about this shelter
Animal Hope opened its doors as a standalone shelter on February 1, 2015.
Prior to that, Animal Hope operated as a small rescue at Animal Hospital Southwest. As the municipal veterinarian for the city of Fort Worth, Animal Hospital Southwest frequently pulled difficult cases that the city was not equipped to treat and rehabilitate due to budgetary and time constraints.
From this organization was born the Animal Hope shelter, a rescue focusing on rehabilitation and “second chance” adoptions.
