Papa is quite heartbroken because his person has recently passed away. He is a loving, friendly dog who definitely likes people. He would do best with someone who is retired looking for companionship, or a family with older children. He loves to sit on the couch and cuddle, or nap. He is overweight sadly by about 20+lbs his owner indulged him too much, and was too old to take him out daily for walks.
Papa is an adult dog, experiencing new things he should have as a puppy. He now knows what it is like to go for walks & smell, he is learning his manners & eager to please.Currently he does have anxiety issues when other dogs are around, so dog parks I would approach with caution. I am working with him as much as I can daily in small steps. He does well with my small dog, and is starting engage in play. He is on a diet and as the weight comes off a happier energetic dog will come out. I just can’t keep him because I work long hours and my dog comes to work with me, Papa isn’t a work dog.
