George is a 2 year old, 60 pound Boxer mix. He was rescued from an owner who kept him chained to a dog house and fed him only occasionally. The neighbor was keeping him alive and walking him when she could. In spite of this he was still suffering from malnutrition when he came to Save-A-Life. He is now neutered, vaccinated, has been treated for heartworm infestation and is healthy and very happy to be in rescue. This is a charming guy who gives sloppy kisses and has a great time at PetsMart on Saturdays. He is trained to sleep in a crate at night, does well walking on a leash and enjoys playing with the other large dogs. He and Michael, the Weimaraner play tag and wrestle whenever they are outside together. George needs a fenced yard to get sufficient exercise. He does well with children and adults.
