My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi, I’m Soup Beans 🐾
I’m a young male tabby-and-white boy with a playful spirit and a big heart. Life is more fun when there’s a little adventure, some toys to chase, and someone to share cuddles with, and I’m ready for all of it! I love exploring, pouncing, and making friends — but I also know how to slow down and enjoy quiet moments when it’s time to relax.

I’m curious, affectionate, and full of personality. Give me a cozy lap, a playful toy, or a warm corner to nap in, and I’ll happily become your loyal companion. My sweet, friendly nature makes me easy to love, and I have a way of making every day just a little brighter.

If you’re looking for a lively, loving, and charming young cat to join your home, I think I might be the perfect match. 🐾💛An adoption application can be filled out on the DHS website https://www.dekalbhumanesociety.org/adopt. More about this shelter

At DeKalb Humane Society, we are passionate about finding forever homes for the pets in our care. Whether they are cats, dogs, or other furry friends, our mission is to provide them with a loving and nurturing environment.

We also believe in the importance of education about responsible pet ownership. We strive to educate our community about pet welfare, the benefits of spaying/neutering, and the prevention of animal abuse and neglect.

By adopting a pet from us, you are not only gaining a lifetime companion, but you are also contributing to our cause and helping us raise awareness. Together, we can make a difference in the lives of these innocent animals.

The DeKalb Humane Society filed for our Certificate of Incorporation on December 23, 1975 and we were granted 501(c)3 status in March of 1976. We are committed to being a no-kill shelter and serving the DeKalb County area.
